Flintwork

In our county of Sussex, flint is used extensively throughout in the construction of buildings including Chichester's historic City walls. Fortunately we are seeing more and more people value the use of traditional building methods with stone, flint and lime mortar which is hugely important if we are to retain our architectural heritage.

As with dry stone walling, flintwork requires an understanding of the material and an ability to be able to handle and work each individual stone.
